Did You Know?

Animal companionship helps reduce stress, lower blood pressure, increase social interaction and physical activity. Pets have a positive, long-lasting effect on symptoms of depression and feelings of loneliness or isolation.

I feel a special bond with all my fosters and I love watching them grow and their personalities develop. Saying goodbye once they are adopted is hard, but knowing I helped them along their path to their forever home makes it all worth it!

What our fosters are saying…

“Our family has been fostering moms and kittens for over a year and it has been very rewarding! We have taught our sons (2 and 5) to be very patient and gentle to the kittens which not only benefits the kids with taking care of animals but prepares the kittens for their forever homes! My son is already thinking of the veterinary world. My husband however always falls in love with the momma cats. The momma cats are typically very sweet and always follow him around. I love hearing the success stories from the forever homes and the rewarding feeling of raising the kittens and nurturing the moms.”

“I LOVE fostering because there is nothing better than to hold in your lap and snuggle with several purring kittens. The next best thing is sitting on the floor in a room with several kittens that are running, chasing, wrestling, and playing with toys; and being totally silly kittens. It does not matter who you are or what life is dishing out to you that day or month or year, they bring you great laughter and make you feel completely loved. They are the love of my life, all 271 that I have fostered; I look forward to more.”
