What to expect when adopting from CFFR
CFFR is an all-foster-based feline rescue with NO PHYSICAL SHELTER. That means that all of our kittens/cats are safe and cozy in foster homes at all times. All kittens/cats are vaccinated, dewormed, neutered/spayed, and microchipped prior to adoption.
- If you see a kitten/cat you are interested in, submit an online adoption application by clicking the “APPLY ONLINE” button. (You may also apply to pre-qualify to adopt while you’re waiting to find your purrfect companion.)
- Once your application is received, an adoption counselor will reach out to you to approve or discuss your application either by phone, email or text.
- When your application is approved, it will be forwarded to the foster parent of the kittens/cats you are interested in, who will reach out to you to set up a visit. Some fosters like to do a virtual first to get acquainted, and then move on to an in person visit.
- If after that initial meeting, if you and the foster agree it’s a match, and wish to proceed with the adoption, the foster parent will let us know, and you will pay your adoption fee online here. Please know that the foster families may be meeting with other applicants so that they can find the best match for their cat or kittens. We all do our best to complete meetings in a timely manner and let all applicants know the outcome as soon as a decision is made.
- Your adoption paperwork will be sent to you via email. You will complete and return your adoption contract, then review everything by phone with the adoption counselor.
- After that, you are welcome to arrange pick up for your new family member from the foster parent within 48 hours

APPLY ONLINE ADOPTION FEES MEET OUR CATS
You only need to submit one application, even if you are interested in several kittens/cats. Once your application has been approved, you can simply email us at info@coloradofelinefosterrescue.org to let us know of your interest in another kitten/cat.
