Impact

Colorado Feline Foster Rescue strives to make a positive impact on the lives of felines, as well as the people who foster and adopt them. We are committed to finding every cat and kitten their best fit for permanent and loving homes through individualized socialization, medical and foster care. Our goal is to adopt out all cats and kittens taken into our program.

Measuring and reporting the results in our lifesaving efforts to the public keeps us accountable to this goal.

Asilomar Accords

In 2004, several national animal welfare organizations (ASPCA, Best Friends, HSUS, Maddie’s Fund and Petsmart Charities) met and created standardized definitions, as well as methods for statistics gathering and reporting in the animal welfare field. These standards make it possible for all animal welfare organizations to measure and report success, and highlight challenges, in the same way.

CFFR recognizes and utilizes the nationally recognized definitions, and statistics gathering and reporting methods. We participate in monthly data reporting for Shelter Animals Count nationwide, and are PACFA (Pet Animal Care Facilities Act) licensed and compliant in our annual reporting for the state of Colorado..

Listed in the table above are four nationally recognized ways of examining lifesaving efforts, and CFFR’s results for each.
